Chobe Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced and detail‑driven Group Finance Controller to be based in Maun, playing a critical role in strengthening the Group’s financial foundation and governance framework.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Group Finance Controller will take ownership of the Group’s financial integrity, statutory reporting, compliance, and procurement functions. The role is responsible for leading all financial accounting and reporting activities across the Group, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with IFRS/GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include overseeing month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing consolidated financial statements, managing external audits, and ensuring effective internal controls and risk management frameworks. The role will also oversee tax compliance, statutory filings, and liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
In addition, the Group Finance Controller will lead Group procurement activities, ensuring sourcing from appropriate suppliers at competitive cost, effective supplier relationship management, and continuous identification of cost‑saving opportunities aligned to Group strategy.
This leadership role requires managing and mentoring finance teams across the Group, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑entity environment.
